Train your brain with these brain cards full of information about behavior design.
From persuasion, to ethics, to color psychology and back. Use the cards to expand your knowledge about behavior design and become the master itself.
Role
Graphic designer
Brief
Develop a card set for students to educate them about behavior design.
Tools
– Adobe Illustrator – Adobe Photoshop
Challenge
Teach fellow students your knowledge about behavior design.
Brainstorming
A sneak peek in my brainstorm session.
Brainstorming gives clarity
For example: sketching everything very quick and writing down what pops up in my head, really helps to get a clear vision of my thoughts.
First designs
I made some designs in Illustrator, after I made my sketches.
Finished product
To learn students more about behavior design.
YAY.
The brain
Because of the information I wanted to put onto the cards, I wanted the front to be part of the subject. Since the information on the cards is mostly about psychology, it made sense that the front should be a (some kind of) brain.
The illustrations
Because of the radiant colors on the front of the card I wanted to do it the other way around on the illustrations on the back. The illustrations represent examples from the explanation and information on the back of the cards.
The icons
The icons have different meanings. This to put some structure into the flashcards and now the student can learn by category. This works motivating, because it feels like a small chunk of information instead of something that seems enormous.
The fonts
Title
Designed it myself.
Text
Avenir Book
Vision
If I had more time I would design front cards for each category. The second thing I would pay attention to is the length of the text. All the text is necessary, but there must be a way to shorten it. Or to design a part where the core is explained to defined. Lastly I’d like to make a game instead of flashcards. Gamification makes learning easier and more motivating.
