Solution
To help the user stay motivated different principles have been applied to push them in the right direction. The app is made to increase the intrinsic motivation. This way the desired result from the user will be achieved.

If the user feels like they are winning something or doing something that will give them a reward, they are more likely to do it.

Conclusion
This app is based on deskresearch, an experiment and interviews. On behalf of these strategies I can say that this app will help to increase the intrinsic motivation for people who’d like to run.
Vision
I know one thing: this product is far from perfect. Not that any product can, ever, be perfect, but if the future-me would see this, she’d probably say that I should take a second look at the user experience. It can be much more user friendly and there is much more to get out of there. If I had more time I’d also like to develop the ‘during’ part of the product. Right now it’s mainly focused on the ‘before’. If a user wants to stop in the middle of their run; what happens then? That’s a huge part of this product, because it is all about motivation and keeping the user motivated. But; no conclusions without research 😉
